Our Story
The project will be undertaken over a number of phases and years. Once complete, the 5 redundant barns, timber office and 3 grain silos will be renewed and brought back to life to provide studios, offices and light industrial units of various sizes and rents, all centred around a cafe and kitchen garden.
Renewable energy will be introduced where possible using solar PV panels and rainwater harvesting systems. The site is being sympathetically landscaped, with trees and perennials planted and areas of wild flowers to encourage wildlife and to create a wonderful place to work, with rural views towards Ham Hill.
The ultimate aim is to attract a diverse range of users and services, including rural industries, arts and crafts as well as artisan manufacturing, thus reinventing the space into a creative community centre for Martock and the surrounding areas.
